Esther Okoye, makes a donation to the University of Port Harcourt.
Join the next generation women was warmly received yesterday, at the center for Conflict and Gender studies, Uniport. In our discussion, the director for Conflict and Gender Studies, Uniport, Dr. Fidelis Allen, recognizes the need for the society to adjust those cultural and customary values that deter women's sustenance in the career environments.
Join the next generation women blames gender inequality on customary values which were embedded in the career environments, thereby creating conflicts against women's ability to sustain their careers. Through the book, i intend to sensitize the female gender on how to include themselves in the career world, adapt, grow and be stable in careers. This is in the midst of competitive nature of the career environments as well as those practices that create gender-sensitive constraints to women in careers.
I donated Join the next Generation women to the Institution because, the Center for Conflict and Gender studies Uniport would be a most relevant means for sensitizing the female gender as well as the society on gender issues as it relates to women in careers. The University of Port Harcourt center for Conflict and Gender Studies addresses developmental challenges in the Nigerian society where many citizens suffer security threats which results from violent conflicts, poverty, illiteracy, human trafficking and gender inequality.
I also intend to liaise with many other similar institutions in Nigeria and other challenged African countries to continue this sensitization.

Join The Next Generation women now comes in a second Edition
The First edition was published in 2013. It was quite large. So many topics all compressed in a small book.
The cover Page had a simple design. I did some advertising too. Here's one of them; There was also a Trailer, here!
My first Book was really rich but newbie EstherOkoye had a lot of typographical errors.
I was also not prepared for the large audience it was drawing to me at the time. It was all a hobby. I never knew how much people needed to know more about all those topics I had on the book until I released it. The Impact was just too intimidating for a first timer.
Then I realized that this was more serious than I thought. I did a research but that was because my Mentor ( Dagar Tolar) adviced me to do so. This time, I was going to repeat that research because I was going to face a large audience who want to know more about the topics, quite beyond what I had written, about 5 years afterwards, that's April, 2018, I released the second Edition.
Here's what we've got now...
New cover!, better editing, less and ( if possible ) no typo errors. I removed some topics too. That allowed me enough space to discuss the remaining topics in better detail.
The withdrawn topics will make another book. Trust me, there's going to be another book. I don't know the title yet, maybe Next Generation women two...still guessing!, We'll figure out when I'm ready with the new book.
Compare this with the old Cover page, used for the First Edition, here...
It wasn't a bad job though but hey! there's got to be something new.
